EOS-06_SCAT_3SV
This 3SV product refers to Level-3 (L3) binned sigma naught products generated from the Ku-band Pencil Beam Scatterometer (SCAT-3) on EOS-06 (Oceansat-3) satellite. These products offer globally gridded and 2-Day time-averaged normalized radar backscatter coefficient in vertical polarisation at 25 km x 25 km and 12.5 km x 12.5 km global grid spacing. Since radar backscatter in vertical polarization is generally higher than in horizontal polarization and exhibits greater sensitivity to wind speed over oceans, it enables more effective detection of low to moderate wind conditions compared to SH mode.
