EOS-06_OCM-LAC_AOD_8day_500m
EOS6 OCM3 Sensor in Local Area Coverage (LAC) Mode provides Indian subcontinent coverage at 360m in 2 days in visible and NIR wavelengths. All the data sets over 8 days are processed / binned and Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) product at 870 nm is generated at 500m over oceans. This product quantifies the concentration of atmospheric aerosols—such as dust, smoke, and pollution—that scatter and absorb sunlight in a vertical column of the atmosphere. AOD is crucial for atmospheric correction of other geophysical data products and for studying the climatic impacts of aerosols.
