Another term associated with its physical unit (W/m²) is global solar irradiance. The data are generated from instantaneous outputs inferred by GL1.2 model and visible channel images from GOES satellites (GOES-10, GOES-12, GOES-13, GOES-16, GOES-19). For each day, the instantaneous images are integrated using the trapezoidal rule, and the final value is divided by 24 hours to represent the daily mean irradiance (W/m²). Each daily data file is an image covering South America and the surrounding oceans. Each pixel in the image indicates the daily mean solar radiation.
