In a close formation flight, they will separately acquire data for the TerraSAR-X mission and jointly execute the TanDEM-X mission data collection. With the finalization of its commissioning phase in October 2010, it could be confirmed that the second satellite will provide the SAR data for the TerraSAR-X mission with nearly identical performance parameters and stability as the first one.",
