ESACCI-SEALEVEL-L4-MSLA-MERGED-19930115000000-fv01. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Ananlyses of the Global mean sea level change, ocean circulation, sea level rise, ocean dynamics and processes, model development and validation.
ATSR-2 / AATSR ensemble AOD record. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: reduction in uncertainty of the quantitative role of aerosols in climate forcing; validate and improve the capability of climate simulation models and reanalyses to represent aerosol effects;
FRESCO v7 Effective Cloud Fraction. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Climate Applications
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: The global mean level of the oceans is one of the most important indicators of climate change. It incorporates the reactions from several different components of the climate system. Precise monitoring of changes in the mean level of the oceans, particularly through the use of altimetry satellites, is vitally important, for understanding not just the climate but also the socioeconomic consequences of any rise in sea level.
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: global cloud climatologies climate research (monitoring and modelling), NMHSs & government agencies, private and public sector
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Global sea-level budget, Antarctic mass balance interpretation, Greenland mass balance interpretation. Products from CCI are not publicly released yet (due Apr 2017). Similar data was used in McMillan et al, 2014. GRL, Increased ice losses from Antarctica detected by CryoSat-2 doi:10.1002/2014GL060111
