FRESCO v7 Effective Cloud Fraction. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Climate Applications
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: global cloud climatologies climate research (monitoring and modelling), NMHSs & government agencies, private and public sector
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Global sea-level budget, Antarctic mass balance interpretation, Greenland mass balance interpretation. Products from CCI are not publicly released yet (due Apr 2017). Similar data was used in McMillan et al, 2014. GRL, Increased ice losses from Antarctica detected by CryoSat-2 doi:10.1002/2014GL060111
ATSR-2 / AATSR SUAOD record. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: reduction in uncertainty of the quantitative role of aerosols in climate forcing; validate and improve the capability of climate simulation models and reanalyses to represent aerosol effects;
ESA Ocean Colour CCI version 3.0. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Marine ecosystem dynamics Ocean carbon budget Ocean heat budget Air-sea flux of heat Air-sea flux of carbon Ocean acidification Biogenic aerosol
GlobWave Level 4 Altimeter Monthly Gridded Sea State. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Global variability of significant wave height on a monthly timescale and 1 degree grid Monthly statistics Estimation of extreme values
CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Ice contributions to sea level rise
ESACCI-L3C_CLOUD-CLD_PRODUCTS-AATSR_ENVISAT_fv2.0. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Cloud aerosol Interactions
ESA SST CCI Analysis L4 Long-term product (v1.1). CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: SST CCI records include the skin (radiometric) temperature at time of satellite observation and an estimate of SST at drifting buoy depth (20 cm) at a standardised time of day. The "calibration" of the retrieval is preserves independence from in situ observations. Context-specific uncertainty estimates are provided with each SST datum. In climate assessment activities, the SST CCI products have been found to be suitable for purposes such as evaluation of the mean state and (co)variability of coupled climate models. CH4_SCI_WFMD, version 3.9. CLIMATE APPLICATIONS: Primarily to obtain information on the natural and anthropogenic sources and sinks of CH4 (details see, e.g., GHG-CCI Climate Assessment Report (CAR): http://www.esa-ghg-cci.org/?q=webfm_send/318). Comparison with climate models.
