The collection Landsat 8-9 OLI/TIRS worldwide data products, accessible via the USGS EarthExplorer platform, provides global Landsat-8 and 9 Collection 2 data since mission start. Collection 2 features major improvements over Collection 1, including enhanced geolocation accuracy, radiometric calibration, metadata consistency, quality assessment, and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF formatting. The dataset includes Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 products, ranging from calibrated and terrain-corrected imagery to surface reflectance, surface temperature, and higher-level biophysical products such as surface water extent, snow cover, burned area, and evapotranspiration.
