  "description": "'''Short description:'''The IBI-MFC provides a ocean physical reanalysis product for the Iberia-Biscay-Ireland (IBI) area starting in 01/01/1993 and being regularly updated on a yearly basis. The model system is run by Mercator-Ocean, being the product post-processed to the user\u2019s format by Nologin with the support of CESGA in terms of supercomputing resources. The IBI model numerical core is based on the NEMO v3.6 ocean general circulation model run at 1/12° horizontal resolution. Altimeter data, in situ temperature and salinity vertical profiles and satellite sea surface temperature are assimilated.The product offers 3D daily, monthly and yearly ocean fields, as well as hourly mean fields for surface variables. Daily, monthly and yearly averages of 3D Temperature, 3D Salinity, 3D Zonal and Meridional Velocity components, Mix Layer Depth, Sea Bottom Temperature and Sea Surface Height are provided. Additionally, hourly means of surface fields for variables such as Sea Surface Height, Mix Layer Depth, Surface Temperature and Currents, together with Barotropic Velocities are distributed.
