This dataset contains Sea Surface Salinity (SSS) v04.41 data at a spatial resolution of 50km and a time resolution of 1 week. It is spatially sampled on a SH polar 25km EASE (Equal Area Scalable Earth) grid with 1 day of time sampling. This product is also available separately on a regular lat/lon grid. A monthly product is also available. In addition to salinity, information on uncertainties are provided. For more information see the user guide and other product documentation available from the linked Sea Surface Salinity CCI web page.Compared to version 3.21 of the data, version 04.41 SSS is of similar or improved quality. The main improvements concern high latitude regions (reduced seasonal biases and better ice flagging). The v04.41 dataset covers a longer period (Jan 2010-Oct 2022).
