'''Short description:''' For the Mediterranean Sea (MED), the CNR MED Sea Surface Temperature (SST) processing chain provides supercollated (merged multisensor, L3S) SST data remapped over the Mediterranean Sea at high (1/16°) and Ultra High (0.01°) spatial resolution, representative of nighttime SST values (00:00 UTC). The L3S SST data are produced selecting only the highest quality input data from input L2P images within a strict temporal window (local nightime), to avoid diurnal cycle and cloud contamination. The main L2P data currently used include SLSTR-3A/3B, VIIRS-N20/NPP, Metop-B/C AVHRR and SEVIRI.
