GOSAT-GW equipped with AMSR3 takes measurements at multiple microwave frequencies and multiple polarizations of weak electromagnetic waves in the microwave band radiated from the Earth’s surface and the atmosphere. AMSR3 has swath of 1535 km and 11 microwave bands. The observation data will enable the creation of long-term trustworthy data sets of global physical amount.Level 3 products are gridded data. They store the brightness tempreture or physical parameters data converted using grid processing and temporally statical processing.This product includes Total Precipitable Water (TPW) overwritten by latest data. TPW product represents amount of vertically accumulated water vapor (H2O in gaseous state) in the atmosphere, and defined as amount of water per unit area. Total precipitable water is one of essential hydrological parameters describing state of the atmosphere along with precipitation and cloud liquid water.The provided format is NetCDF4.
