This product quantifies the Vegetation Fraction (VF), representing the percentage of ground/land area covered by vertically projected vegetation. This is derived from the data acquired by the EOS6 OCM3 Sensor, in Global Area Coverage (GAC) Mode that cover entire globe in 2 days at a spatial resolution of 1.1km. This parameter supports land cover monitoring and classification, as well as modelling land-surface processes related to climate and hydrology.
