<dc:description>The ESA Fire Disturbance Climate Change Initiative (Fire_cci) project aims to generate burned area developed from satellite observations. The Long-Term Small Fire Dataset (SFDL) pixel products have been obtained using spectral information from Landsat sensors for three study areas located in different parts of the world (Amazon, Sahel and Siberia), and coinciding with the ESA CCI High Resolution Land Cover product. The dataset uses surface reflectance information from the Landsat-4 and Landsat-5 TM, Landsat-7 ETM+ and Landsat-8 OLI sensors, and covers the period 1990 to 2019, with a spatial resolution of 0.00025 degrees (approximately 30 m at the Equator).</dc:description>
